Well, me and Mark went footin' again this weekend.
He had the good ole Mastercraft ready to scream. There was a thin layer of ice on the lake about 3/4 of the way across in the morning. By the time we were ready to go at around 4, it was 40 with a little wind and most of the ice had melted. Also, earlier that day, Mark came thru with the MC and broke up the ICE a little in fear that it would not be melted by the time we were ready to go...What a die-hard! haha! WOO! I was still a little nervous about hitting some slivers of glassy ice, but we went at it anyways! I got a long line run in off the kneeboard..went for about 1min 20 seconds...woo..wore out..lol..somebody give me some oxygen! Then Mark got a longline step off. He went from in front of the Deiser's place to his place where you turn around before heading to the sandbar. I took him on a fill turn and he went another half way to the low bridge..a helluva nice long run!! Incredible! Mark then got a run on the Boom, tumble up a nice long one foot run..Looked like he was trying to work on his right foot. Not as strong as his left foot. Nice run! I got a boom run then and tumbled up with major boat spray in my face...and at 33-34 degree water..that shit was COLD spraying me in the face! I still managed to get up smoothly/or so and continue to get major face-freeze. It was AWESEOME! Welp, I could go on, but for the most part it was great as usual. Mark and I have now footed every month so far this year and will try and continue on. Hopefully March will be mild ![]() |

Here I am again. Replying to myself.
Mark and I went footin' again this past weekend on the 12th of March. The air temp was an awesome 60 degrees! The water was still cold at 40F. The weather was so nice, we ended up going twice on Sunday. Once at 1pm and again at 4:30. We both had some awesome runs. I officially gave up the kneeboard as a starting device for my footin' runs. I did 5 deepwater starts thru the day on longline and got up all 5 times thanks to some decent driving by Mark. Mark got an 8:15 run from in front on the Deiser's place to just where you can see the Damn. The longest run anyone has had! It was a site to see. On my second to last run on Sunday I hit something big and hard with my left foot. Needless to say, I still went footin' once more, but by the time we got back to the dock, I couldn't even walk on my heel. Major PAIN! Today is now Friday and it still hurts to walk on it, but it is much better than it was on Monday. I figure if Mark wants to go again this weekend, I'll just have to wear the ShoeSkis and tough it out!! I got a few videos, but we were missing our crack-videographer and had to rely on Grandma Beejee to video for us. She was a trooper, but needs some practice on her video-taping skills. See the videos in the Gallery Here I'll try and get a couple more up here pretty soon. Mark had some nice slalom runs as well, but I didn't get any good video of it... There's also a video of Mark jumping into 40F water with nothing but his Barefoot Shorts on. Check it out! Crazy! Good Times!! ![]() |

I'm baaaaack!
We went Footin and Kite Tubing this weekend! Kite Tubing you say? What is that? This is what it is right here: http://www.fauxpas.org/modules/xoopsgallery/cache/albums/album44/kitetubing_final.wmv AWESOME! Well, before the Kite ride on Sunday, Mark, Chris and I all went footing Saturday morning. There was a TON of debris in the water and I had a bad feeling from the get go. Mark went first, He got a nice long run up towards the damn but we had to cut it short because the motor made a gawd aweful noise when we came around the corner by Freeman's bay. After checking the motor, everything looked good and I was getting ready to get my foot run in when 4 friggin bass boats com screaming around the corner...BASTARDS! Like going 70 mph is gonna help you catch the fish faster? Anywho, after sitting and waiting for it to calm down, I decided to give it a run. I got up from a deepwater start on the long line and it was a little shaky. Once up, I was hitting all kinds of debris and I AGAIN hit my injured left heel right on the same spot from a few weeks ago on a big hard stick or log...and OUCH! ..damnitt it hurt like hell again and still does today...Well, right after that, Chris decided to get a run in and deepwater started and went a good ways while he was hitting small debirs all the time...it was not a good day for footing. Mark decided he would get another foot run in from his house back to our place...bad idea...he hit a piece of wood with both feet square...needless to say I talked to him last night and he said his feet feel 100%...mine sure the hell doesn't. Oh well, it won't keep us down long!FOOT FEVER BABY! |
